A young woman from an upper class family turns into a communist rebel and lands on the military government’s most-wanted list. She goes underground, and her family shall never see her again. Four decades after, filmmaker Tamara Dawit pieces together the mysterious life of her aunt Sally and revisits the Ethiopian “Red Terror”, a period of violence, upheaval and mass killings that nearly wiped out an entire generation of educated young people in the country.
