What remains behind the scenes of heroic videos about our soldiers in Ukraine? What are they forced to face, alone, in peaceful life, and where does the war end? This is the story of a woman who returns from war. Talking to psychologists, struggling with PTSD and panic attacks, she tries to return to a normal life. This documentary follows her journey from the start of rehabilitation to her return to work.
Director of documentaries and feature films, editing director. She was born and lives in Ukraine. She earned a bachelor’s degree at the Kyiv National University of Theater, Film and Television named after Karpenka-Karyo. Films documentaries and feature films, social advertising, video clips. Her full-length documentary film “No Overt Manifestations” won 4 awards at the Docudays UA festival, and the award for the best Eastern European film at the DOK Leipzig festival. The following documentary, This Rain Will Never End, was awarded Best Film in the First Appearance section at IDFA. Alina Horlova was a participant of Berlinale Talents 2019, CIRCLE Women Doc Accelerator and Eurodoc 2020.
