Every year, thousands and even millions of people move from the countryside to big cities in search of happiness and a better life. These “little people” want to conquer the big, to become an important part of a huge mechanism. That’s how Zhoryk came from his hole to Kyiv to find the meaning of his purpose in life precisely in the capital. In his plans are elite institutions, European values and cultural events, but for now he has to live among dirty entrances, elevators that do not work, shabby carousels, cheap girls and a sea of beer. One hundred percent must get out of this curse. Zhorik is looking for a job in order to live constantly among beauty, trying to constantly be among expensive things. But the most difficult thing is to build a relationship, because he really liked one girl from a wealthy family. Until Zhoryk overcomes this line between social statuses, nothing will work. This is how it is, the capital.

Antonina Illivna Noyabrova (born April 29, 1983, Kyiv) is a Ukrainian screenwriter, film producer and director of short and feature films. The social comedy “The Hero of My Time” became Noyabrova’s debut feature film, for which she was recognized as the best Ukrainian director at the 9th Odesa International Film Festival. Daughter of TV presenter and director Ilya Noyabrova.
